What does the name of your business mean?

Armosa is named after the château Wes and I stayed in during our Italian honeymoon. It can also be translated into “rosy love” which I am just a sucker for We went with studios, not because we own one, but because our business is more than just a photography business. I have married a talented man, who loves video, film, and graphics. We shoot corporate ads and events, as well as concerts and plays. We are a wide range business and open to change and growth.

Do you book destination weddings?

Traveling is one of our most favorite parts of shooting weddings. So, yes, destination weddings are definitely a love for us. We have experience traveling all over Europe, Mexico, and of course, anywhere in the US. Our goal is to book a wedding in Ireland.  Our desire is to see love in all parts of the world.

What do you shoot with?

We shoot each event with some of the most high end products on the market. We are always researching new products and ways to use them to their fullest capacity. When you work with Armosa you are working with some of the most sought after equipment out there. Only the best of the best. Oh, and we are Canon people, in case you are wondering.

What do you do after the wedding?

For us, the wedding day is a breeze. The real work begins when we get home. After crashing in the bed for about 10 hours, we begin our process. Upload the photos, back them up a few times- then edit them to enhance exposure, color, and skin. We love using textures and color overlays to give your photos a unique feel. And for the record, when it comes to editing, we are mac people. I love apples.

What are some clothing tips for engagement sessions?

One of the best ways for me to describe it is to be an enhanced version of yourself. Wear something you feel sexy and confident in. If you feel beautiful, you will look beautiful. Do something more extravagant with your make-up, try funky accessories like headbands, colored tights, high heels, big jewelry. Look in fashion magazines to get some ideas. This is one of the few times in your life you get to play dress up and have pictures taken with a guy you think is crazy fine. Have fun with it!! As for dressing the man, blue jeans are always photograph well. And for the top, he can’t go wrong with a button down, and he can add a tie, blazer… whatever fits him best. Remember this are just suggestions! Also, be creative when thinking about hobbies you love and your favorite parts of each other… we can use props and cool locations to make the photo session reflect who you are as a couple!

What is your favorite part of your job?

The client!!!! Each bride and groom has their own story, their own love, and we get to experience it!!! Wow! Sometimes I feel like I am more excited than the bride… I think it is because I know the joy she is about to feel.  We never experience the same situation twice. Plus, every wedding I get to look at my husband and feel that same love I felt for him on our day. I get to feel the same tingles in my stomach you are feeling. I love it.
