Julie Batson is a southern bell who has seen the world pursuing her dancing passion. Those are all of my favorite characteristics. I have mentioned I LOVE working with dancers, I love spending time with people who travel, and well, southern is in my blood. As soon as I met her, I knew I wanted to be apart of her bridal experience. She is someone who is genuine, determined, and gorgeous inside and out! I loved working with her more and more with each meeting/email/phone call.

I wanted to show off a few of her bridals because she totally rocked it. These images are beautiful & I am so proud I was given the chance to take them.

I cannot wait to show off her wedding but I have a couple more to show off first! The next wedding is the epitome of vintage southern charm. You can look forward to a barn, mason jars, wild flowers, and a handsome ring bearer! See you back soon!

Be happy and love each other!

There is a chance that Eun Han is one of the most beautiful people I have ever photographed & she may have the best skin of anyone I know… haha. She is absolutely gorgeous in every way possible. I am so glad I had the opportunity to know her.

One of my favorite parts of Eun is her culture, yes, she is Korean, but she is so much more than that. She is well travelled and has seen the world. She is diverse in ways that many humans don’t take the chance to experience. Wes and I loved talking with her and her mom… hearing about their lives & the places they have seen.

The last set of photos are of Eun in a traditional Korean dress. This dress has been in their closet for over a decade (and maybe even two…) Her mom has been saving it to have her photographed in it before her wedding. I love the photo of her mom showing her the traditional Korean poses, I know this must have been a sweet moment for her… passing her history down. I really hope that Eun saves this dress for her daughter, and she one day can teach her of her heritage. I love love it.

Be happy & love each other.
Enjoy your weekend & do something spontaneous!

When Sarah asked me if we could do her bridal photos in Baton Rouge because of a plantation, I was curious, but honestly didn’t know what the big deal was… and then we got there. Haha. Sarah is an architect who has been on assignment with her firm to work at the Nottoway Plantation. She said as soon as she saw the place the first time, she fell in love and wanted her photos here…. and I can totally see why. This place is absolutely gorgeous.

The white room is one of Sarah’s favorite rooms in the world. I am so glad we had the chance to shoot her in it.

Take a look and you will see what the big deal is ;)

Hope life is kissing you on the cheek.

Mary is with out a doubt a breathtaking bride. Stunning actually.

I love bridal sessions. I admit that I do. When I was engaged and debating on if I wanted to do a bridal, my first reaction was… No way! I don’t want photos of my self hanging everywhere. So the insecure me, opted out and didn’t do it. Now looking at the sessions I am apart of… why wouldn’t I want photos like this? This is the one time in your life that you get to feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. And there is nothing wrong with that.

Every time I post a bridal I have a little ounce of jealousy that these girls are able to have these beautiful photos of themselves forever. There daughters will one day look back on these photos and know that their mom was a woman of class… someone to aspire to. Love it.

Mary’s session is no exception to this jealousy. These photos are beautiful of her. Heath will cherish them forever.

I love this one.

Now, after writing this blog… I am inspired to do a session. Of myself. Yep. And there is nothing wrong with that.
Now if I can just stop drinking this eggnog and fit into my dress…. humm…

Be happy and love each other!

  • Shannon Wages: You should, T! You should get a new dress and do something on your anniversary next year, get Wes to take the pics (preferably on a beach or other tropical location)... 11.17.2010 10:50pm
  • Tera: Haha... I totally would... BUT, 3 months after we got married, I had a wild hair to put it on and well... dang zipper, must have been stuck ;) I was humiliated, so I have been scared to try since! But like I said, I need to put the eggnog & cookies & brownies & cake & additional chocolate sauce down, and get my booty in it! I think it will zip now, but I want it to zip perfect!!! Love you! 11.18.2010 02:09am

Lauren. You are absolutely beautiful. Inside and out. You are the best friend I have ever had. Being there through everything- literally everything. We experienced 5th grade drama, 7th grade cliches, 9th grade awkwardness, 12th grade celebration, college confusion and heartbreaks… you have been there. You never left me. Haha. Like you had a choice ;)

So I never gave you a proper toast… haha… and I realized yesterday your card from me is in my room. So here it is.

I love you so much. Thank you for talking to me in your sleep, wake up with me at 2am to go get a french vanilla, sleeping with me in the hallway, and singing all the wrong words to every song that ever came on. Thanks for running through best buy and playing our “game”, thanks for keeping me focused on what is important. Thanks for standing next to me when I married my love and really making it special. Thanks for eating ricks barbeque with me whenever I wanted. It is sooo good.  Thanks for recognizing me that night- knowing that it was me, and caring that I was with you. We are sisters. You have brown hair and good eyebrows, and I have pale skin, but I will be with you for the rest of our lives. We will have double chins and crows feet together. ;)

I love you. And I love Reggie. And I love the two of you together. Congratulations on happiness. I hope the two of you dance in your undies on your couch. And I hope you laugh a lot. I have a feeling you will.

You are beautiful Lauren.

Wedding blog is next!!! I LOVE YOU!
Be happy & love each other!
