On the day of Ashley and Boyds photo shoot it was probably 156 degrees outside… haha…. seriously, it was one of those days where when you stand in fresh air for longer than 30 seconds you are sweating to death. I am going to be honest, because of this, I wasn’t exactly crazy excited looking forward to do the shoot. I mean, I am human just like everyone else… and well, this was just not my day. Lucky for me, I was able to talk my amazing friend/intern/photographer extrordinar Amy to come with me for the journey.
Every ounce of dread or negativity left my body the second I starting shooting this couple. Typically, I have to work past the first few photos because they are always the awkward ones… I rush through them and pick the worse spot and the formal poses. But Ashley and Boyd got right to work. They were moving and flirting and smiling and loving each other without me saying a word!!! It was FABULOUS! They had done their homework. They knew what locations they liked, what poses they liked, and even brought props!!! Boyd planned out specific poses and drew them out the night before. I thought I was going to pee in my pants from excitement. It was wonderful. The heat was 110% worth it for this couple. And they didn’t complain not one time. Even brought water for Amy and Me. It was great!
Thank both of you so much. Ashley, I cannot wait for our next shoot and am crazy excited for the wedding. You are a fantastic couple. I don’t think I have ever shot someone with such ease. It was refreshing. Thank you very much.
