I am so happy to be in the office and blogging!!!! This month has been a whirlwind, sickness & snow & then sickness again & then off to New York (which is a blog to come!) So I am finally healthy again, and ready to get these blogs up!!!

I am also so happy that this is my first blog in a while… this wedding is definitely one to remember… And not just because it was in the Turks and Caicos ;) Although, that doesn’t hurt. haha. You remember Kasey & Stuarts engagements, I loved them so much… now view their wedding!

Literally 5 minutes before Kasey walked down the aisle her mom cut about 6 to 12 inches off of the lining of her dress. I just laughed the whole time because Kasey could care less… her priorities where being married to Stuart… not her dress. Love this.

The day of the wedding happened to be the day the winner of the Hiesman Trophy was announced…. Kasey, Stuart, & both of their families are HUGE Auburn fans, and I am pretty sure this moment of the day was just as good as the vows to them…. haha… and just as emotional. Everyone headed down to the pub on the resort to watch the winner be announced…. here it is…

This wedding was beyond great, the couple was the definition of perfection, and the location was paradise. Wes and I were so honored to be apart of it.
Tomorrow is their day after session! Stay tuned!!!

Be Happy and Love each other!

Heath and Mary knew we were going to film their wedding but they had no idea we were going to edit the video in the same day.. haha A daunting task but we really wanted to try it! I brought along fellow videographer Chris Anderson to help me out – while one was shooting the other was editing and by the end of the day we were able to show the newlyweds this video. I took the video and put a few extra shots in (like when they were leaving and the Super 8 footage) but other than that, this is what they saw. We really had good time working on this one and I’m sure more to come!

Be Happy and Love Each Other!!!

I truly believe that God brings things full circle. He has proven this to me in my life over and over again. He has done it figuratively and literally-constantly blowing my mind time after time.

The photo pictured above is a photo of my very first contact sheet on my very first roll of film in my very first photography class. Yes, a lot of firsts. Little did I know when I took this photo that the curley numbers would one day be the home of my very first photography gallery. I could cry thinking about how amazing it is. Had a known that at the time I would have probably been in awe and not believed it. I never thought I would be here… especially at that point. I was just a skinny little sophomore girl with no make-up and a broken heart… from a boy named Wes. Haha. Yes, God brings everything full circle.

I am so proud of where we have come. Yesterday I announced our very first employee… haha… which Brianna reminded me that Wes was my first… haha.. yes, he was. Wow. I guess Amy then is technically our second. And now to show this gallery, I am so proud & honored & humbled.

We wanted a clean space something that inspires us, and helps us focus. I must say I have already gotten more work done today in the 3 hours I have been here than I did in 6 hours at home. Yes, we are learning to work hard so we can play harder. I love how we are learning.

Here it is: 222 North Court Street. I hope it will show you the warmth of our hearts as our living room did, Ana. :)

I will admit to you that most times, I look at photos over and over again and forget the magic in them. I no longer see my work as something… well.. good. But when we hung the last photo on this wall, I stepped back and I was proud. Dang. I love these couples, and I love these photos of them. I am proud of mine & Wes Wages work. Thank you Lord for this gift.

Haha… I ran out of file folders… that is todays project ;) And notice September is empty… maybe that is a sign for something? Maybe!

I have stared at this chandelier for over a year and a half. Saw it at an antique store and wanted it so bad… but knew we didn’t need it at the time… thank you Lord for giving us the right time.. Everything, everything comes full circle.

We are officially open Tuesday- Thursday from 10-5 unless otherwise noted (we will update twitter with closings… so follow us!). Stop by and say hello! We would love to see you!

Oh, and the photo of the “Circus” in my contact sheet… that was the circus I rode an elephant at… Best Moment of my life.
Be Happy and Love each other.

Her name is Amy, her friends call her Amy DaBomb Jackson. Yes, this is true. Why do her friends call her that? Well, because she is DaBomb.

Today I am introducing her to you because she is Armosa Studio’s very first employee!!!!! YES! WOW! We have staff!!!!! Holy Smokes!

Two summers ago, Amy Jackson interned with me, learning… although I don’t know how much I taught her at the time, she sure was fun to have around! Since then she worked as a photographer for herself blowing my mind with her shots and really developing her eye and talent.

For the past 6 months, Wes Wages has been talking to me non-stop about hiring on an associate photographer. I am someone who is stuck in my ways and likes things just the way they are… so for 6 months I have given a firm “no” Now, for the last month he has mentioned it every day, multiple times a day, making me way out the pros & cons. He has worn me out. Finally, I told him the only person that I really trusted was Amy! But I didn’t think she would have any interest in working for us, but he made me talk to her about it finally & I was wrong!!! She did want to! I was so excited!!! With this I have been able to get Wes Wages to be quiet about this idea for a little while & hire on a great associate!!

I know this move will make Armosa grow leaps and bounds. Amy just said yes two days ago, and we already have two dates on her calendar! This is awesome.

So, I wanted to formally introduce her to our little world. Amy Jackson everyone. She is a photographer that has the ability to see things I have completely missed; she captures personality in a way that most photographers dream of. She is a Harry Potter loving, twilighter (we will forgive her for this). She loves trying new things & at one point I am pretty sure there were 400 trophies at her house from past twirling competitions. She is spontaneous, and once drove to Chicago in the middle of the night to be apart of a rally… why? because she believed in it. The girl will try anything once & lives life to the fullest.

I am honored to have her as apart of our team.

Tomorrow’s blog- photos of our gallery!!! Finally!

Be Happy and Love each other!
