I don’t even know where to begin about this wedding. I don’t know where to start. So I will make a simple statement.
This wedding is why I shoot weddings. This is why I am in the business I am in.
Deborah Brick Campbell may be one of the loveliest brides I have ever come in contact with. She compares to the elegant Anna I shot back in February, and the beautiful Kelli that I shot last December… who happens to be a bridesmaid for her. She is as wonderful as they come. And this is why.
When I first receive a contact from a bride about being interested in using Wes & I for their wedding, I always respond with questions… haha.. I want to know everything! Tell me about what you are planning, tell me what you love about photography, tell me what you envision at the end of your wedding… ect ect.
When I received the email back from Deborah, she spoke of her wedding yes, but she spoke of her love for a man who is her complete opposite but makes her completely whole. As we emailed back and forth, I fell more and more in love with this couple. I have met her before, but never him. So hearing her talk of him completely inspired me and made me excited to see who it was she was describing. Honestly, I had my hopes completely up, afraid she may find someone “local” and not want to use us. When she sent in her contract, I don’t know that I have ever anticipated a date more.
Deborah put her whole heart and soul into this wedding. She probably spent more time planning and working on it than any other bride I have worked with. Every detail was perfect. And yes, there were details to be perfect. But here is the special thing- she didn’t do it for the sake of the wedding. She didn’t even want a wedding…. He did. This was her gift to him. He wanted everyone to be there, friends and family, while she wanted to run away to Ireland (OH! my dream!!!!) So Deborah began creating the biggest gift she will give Benji… that is, until a baby comes ;) Benji I know you will cherish this day for the rest of your life.
Deborah and Benji the two of you rock my world. I pray I get to work with more couples who inspire me the way you do. Your beauty as a couple. Your pureness, and your love for Christ. I know with out a shadow of a doubt your marriage will be blessed. I don’t mean easy, but full of blessings. I know that you will love each other big.
Here are some of your wedding images…. and I promise I narrowed down like 3 times… I just couldn’t take any more out! Oh man, I could have blogged the entire day. Hope you enjoy!

Benji played football with his groomsmen, some of them played together since they were little boys, others were in college. Shooting at their college football stadium is something that conveys his friendships more than anything.

Definition of Elegance.
Deborah and her bridesmaids wore hair pieces from Molly Gee Deborah’s had pieces of her mother’s dress, and family heirlooms. I love it.
Deborah left in her grandmother’s wedding gown. She had it redesigned using all of the original materials. Heirlooms are my favorite part of weddings. I can’t imagine what it would feel like to wear a dress my grandmother wore… oh, it gives me chills.
YAY! for shooting weddings with friends!!!!! Kelli is one of my all time favorite brides & I kinda feel bad for Erin, but she will have to use me one day too, I can’t imagine not getting to go! haha! I have been able to shoot 3 weddings with these lovely ladies now! I can’t wait to hang out again. I know I am weird, but I really kind of wish I was a Delta State girl so I could could be legit friends with these ladies!
Deborah and Benji, if you ever need anything in the world, we are here! We are so honored to have been able to meet you. Please, please stay in touch.
Be happy and Love each other!

Ps. At the wedding Kelli’s husband Spencer gave us a gift, he is a photographer as well, and he gave me an original print he made in the darkroom. “From one artist to another.” This means the world to me. Thank you so much Spencer! It will hang in my office always!
