Every once and a while I meet a bride, and I know that if we lived even within an hour of each other we would be best friends. Deborah is one of those brides. She has been close friend of two of my favorite brides and now it is her turn. When she emailed me, I leaped with excitement because I remember talking with her at Kelli & Spencer’s wedding last December. I remember just clicking with her in a way I don’t often do within 5 minutes.
Then she emailed me the details of her and Benji & their love… and of course, ya’ll know how I am, I fell even more in love. She described how she never thought she would fall in love with someone who is the opposite of her, he is country and she is city…. well, I’ll let you read what she said.
“We are complete opposites. I’m from Oxford, Mississippi, born in the city, artistic, played in the band, brainy, animal lover (even went on a Save the Trees protest rally on Ole Miss campus), love to chat to anyone, no athletic ability, etc. Benji on the other hand.. he is from Yazoo, Mississippi, football star, country boy, loves to hunt anything, super athletic and talented in anything he tries, really quiet and can sum anything you say into one or two word, etc. Never thought I would fall in love with my opposite, but opposites truly attract. The important things like our morals and strong belief in our faith are exactly the same.”
I love when people let me in on who they are. And she did. So we wanted to incorporate these differences into the shoot.
She chose Fort Payne, AL for it’s beautiful scenery, and I was not disappointed. I am dying to shoot there again. Gorgeous. The more Wes and I got to know these love birds the more excited I am for their road ahead.
Deb & Benj… here are a few of your shots. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we enjoyed taking them.
Can we please talk about how AMAZING Deborah’s ring is… Benji chose a yellow diamond as her center stone… He knows his bride is unique and so he gave her the perfect ring to match! Love it!
And I have to say… Delta State… you’ve never let us down. Deborah is now our 4th DSU bride, and we’ve LOVED every single one of them- some of our top weddings ever. This year was a tough one for us… DSU and UNA are major rivals, and after we defeated ya’ll last year, you came back this year. It hurts a little. But Spencer & Benji… you will be proud of your okra… ya’ll stomped tail this past weekend. Congratulations. ;)
Be Happy & Love each other.
