I will never forget the first day that I met Lauren Breann- Mrs. Davis’ class, 4th grade… she was the new girl. She walked into class wearing some prissy little outfit, with bangs fluffed up to the high heavens. Even though we were only 4th graders, rumors about the “new girl” were already flaring up. It was the playground where we shared our first words, and we have been inseparable ever since. We quickly realized that we were born in the same hospital only a day apart, from 6th grade on, every birthday I have ever had Lauren has been apart of in some way. As of this past year, we have celebrated more birthdays together than apart. I slept in her bed on countless occasions, becoming apart of her family as we grew up. High School came and went, she is who I went on double dates with, who I confided all my secrets, she was the my constant best friend.
Then came college, when choosing a college, we both decided UNA was the best place for us. I made the move first with her coming in not long after, she is the only girl I think I could share a room with (two twin beds with coordinating bedspreads) and still love like I did before. I am not saying we haven’t had our moments… haha… there have been moments that I wanted to shove her head into a wall so hard it would put her into a mild coma. Yes, but it would have only been for her own good ;) And I know she has moments that she wants to beat me to a pulp for nagging her to death about something… haha.. I think if I mention which headpiece she will wear on her wedding day one more time she is going to through me into a brick wall!! haha. BUT through it all, we sing together, and she sings the wrong words. We fart together, and she laughs so hard like she has never heard it happen before. We wake up at 2am together craving the same drink from the gas station. I plan my perfect outfit and she looks at me like I got dressed blindfolded. She has been it. She is my sister. She is my friend. She is one person that I 50 years from now I will be making fun of her cardigans, laughing together about old times and trying to find our teeth.
Right after I moved off and got married, she met Reggie. I didn’t know Reggie. I was skeptical of Reggie (as all best friends should be initially) but overtime, the more I have got to see him with her, and her family and just him in general, I see what a great balance he brings to her life. He calms her down, and well, she hasn’t thrown as many cell phones since they have been together… haha… He is patient with her, and makes fun of her in the way only people who really know her appreciate. He seems to understand who she is, and loves her for it. I love that he is such a real guy… no pretenses, or checklists. What you see is what you get.
I am so happy for the both of you. I had to get my love for Lauren out of the way so the wedding blog can be focused more on your love.. haha… sorry Reggie. I absolutely cannot wait to share this day with the both of you.

Be happy and love each other.
