I am SO glad I postponed our Europe trip for this wedding. When I found out Megan was engaged, we were planning to leave on August 15th, the day after another wedding that I had first postponed for. I had told her, that sorry, but I felt like if we didn’t leave then, we just weren’t going to go. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized how much I would regret missing this wedding. Megan is not only a beautiful bride with amazing style, but she is my friend, and I would be honored to witness her union.

Meg, thanks so so much for wanting Wes and I to share this with you. We loved loved it. And I am IN LOVE with your images. You are so stunning, and you just glow in every one of them. We can’t wait to come home and cook the two of you dinner! Maybe we will take a class or two on our trip and I can show you a few tips ;) We love ya’ll! Congratulations and I am crazy happy for you and the start of your new life together!

There’s not much to say about The Ray Brothers, but there’s a whole lot to listen to. This is the second album of group and we’re privilege to call these guys friends and honored to be able to shoot for a second time. We loved them so much that they played at our wedding over 2 years ago and we actually get to shoot quite a few weddings with them! The album will be for sale soon on iTunes or you can pick it up tonight at their CD Release show at The Shoals Theatre in downtown Florence, AL. Taylor. Wow. I have so many thoughts on this beautiful lady. Lets start there. Taylor has the most special kind of beauty in the world…. yes, inward beauty… she is definitely kind, loving, gracious, and sincere.. but she also has a special kind of outward beauty as well. It is a quite beauty. She doesn’t walk into a room trying to get everyone’s attention on her, but when she enters the room she definitely adds a sweet glow. She is quirky and funny. Natural and soft.

I have been so blessed to be able to know Taylor over the last couple of years, I have learned so much about how to live from her. I feel like she lives with her arms open, just waiting to see what is going to come. She is an artist, so when she looks at the world she sees all of its colors and textures, she sees the beauty in life. I love love this… and I long for this type of mindset. She has it. I absolutely cannot wait to see what she does in the next few years, and what kind of woman she will grow into.

Taylor, thanks so much for letting me hang out with you. If you end up at SCAD buy a sleeper sofa… I will definitely come visit ;) Hope you like your shots!

Lindsay and Derrick. Your wedding rocked… every.single.moment. Standing there with Lindsay as she was getting ready to see her groom… I could see the butterflies flying from her belly up into her eyes. She was starting to get emotional. I felt like a part of her wanted to throw off her 4 inch heels, pick up her dress and run across Forsythe Park to grab him and finally be with him. Despite her wanting to take off, she walked to him. When he finally turned around, you could feel their love, he grabbed her and didn’t really let go for a little bit. It was finally their day.

Lindsay chose to get married in one of the most beautiful cities in the South, making my job magical. Every corner was something beautiful. I was in love. We were able to spend the afternoon shooting them as they soaked each other up. It isn’t often that we get the bride and groom to ourselves without a parade of onlookers. I loved them having the opportunity to enjoy each other on their wedding day, sometimes it seems like the bride and groom talk to each other less than they talk to anyone else. And the most special day of their lives easily becomes a blur.

Thank you both for letting Wes and I tag along on this adventure. It was a wedding we won’t forget for a long time to come. We are so thankful to live so close to you! We need to definitely keep up! Congratulations to both of you!

Heath and Mary are such a special couple, and we are so so honored to be apart of their big day. I love love their relationship because they are solid proof that “when you know, you know”

Not long after meeting Mary, they attended a party together. Talking with friends, Heath suddenly slipped out that he was in love with her. And not long after, he proved it by asking for her hand. Heath and Mary dated just 3 months before getting engaged, and are planning their big day for October, about 4 months after getting engaged! I LOVE this! I would have married Wes Wages the day after we met. I love when couple’s relationship is so strong they don’t want to wait any longer to be together.

Heath and Mary, I am so glad the both of you found your soulmate. Thank you so much for letting us take part in this journey.


Tomorrow is our Savannah wedding!! It is definitely worth coming back to see! Amazing couple!
